USW Local 1945 is dedicated to builiding a just and fair society and country. This committte is made of member and staff leaders who work for extentsion and proteccion of the civil rights and liberties of our members. 

We are reminded of the words of Martin Luther King Jr. he spoke, as he stood with striking Sanitation Workers, "there is diginity in all work."
