Local 1945 Holds Holiday Party
Dozens of Local 1945 members and their families gathered at USW Local 1945 hall for our Annual Holiday Party. Members were served great food and beverages. Also, they enjoyed a cornucopia of homemade baked goods.

Members’ children also had the opportunity to enjoy time with their fellow union family at the USW 1945 Kids zone.
Members heard from Business Manager Carlos about the past year’s work and the history of Local 1945. Local 1945 Secretary-Treasurer, Philip McElroy addressed his fellow members and thank them for attending the Holiday Party and encouraged members to get engaged and involved in the Local’s work. Brother McElroy also thanked all the local union’s staff for their hard work the past year.

Director of Organizing Mario Gonzalez-Brito also addressed the members and encouraged members to get involved in the Union’s Organizing. He reminded them that “Every Member is an Organizer.”
Local 1945’s Organizer/Field Rep James Grant and Director Gonzalez-Brito gave presents to members and toys to all the children who attended. Local 1945 would like to thank Armando Olivas and his staff at Labor Community Services for their support of this event and with provided 50 toys for our members.
