In conjunction with USW Tony Mazzocchi Center (USW TMC), United Steelworkers District 12, Sub District 1 is pleased to announce that we will be holding a one-day Union Approach to Health and Safety class. This course will be offered on June 1, 2023 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Elk Grove. The Training will run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Lunch will be provided.

Please complete the enclosed registration form for any attendance by representatives from your Local. Main topics of this union approach training include; understanding and developing roles of union members within their H&S committees, identifying and addressing H&S impacts in the workplace, developing strategic plans to address tough H&S problems through hazard identification and control.

Hotel reservations with a group rate established under "United Steelworkers" or "USW" must be made by calling the hotel directly. One-Half the Hotel expense will be reimbursed by the District to Locals participating into the E&E fund and upon proper documentation (receipt, proof of stay) to the District within 90 days of the Training.
